SPORT FISHING IN UGANDAUganda is an ideal fishing destination. With one third of the country covered by water; there is great opportunity for sport fishing. Sport fishing is carried out on Lake Victoria and Murchison Falls National Park. Nile Perch Fishing in Lake Victoria Uganda is implausible! Over 108 kg have been trapped below the Falls in Murchison falls. Apart from Nile perch, other fish you can catch include catfish of over 50kg Tilapia, Tiger fish, Ngara (Genus alestes), ferocious fighter and barbel. An 8 day fishing ItineraryDay 1: Arrive at the Airport and be transferred to your hotel. Day 2: After breakfast, you will drive from Kampala through Uganda's undulating green hills to Murchison falls National Park. In the late afternoon we will descend to the base of Murchison falls themselves and fish the evening for three hours. A relative level of strength will be required as the decent is relatively sheer. In the dramatic pools below the renowned waterfall we will be aiming the large Nile Perch which can have been trapped in these waters over 100 Kilos. We will then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 3: Today you will fish the river Nile by boat underneath the world well-known Murchison falls for the Nile perch and other species several of which can be taken on a fly including the Awaka a small tiger and the Ungara. You will use the whole day fishing from the boat and the coast. The boat trip is also superb for game viewing as you will be fishing in one of the best game areas on the Nile which can show very thrilling at times. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Red chilli camp (FB) Day 4: Today we will fish the big pools below the falls with bait, live bait and flies for the large perch. Once more there are other species that can offer brilliant sport. We will take a picnic and plenty of cold drinks and spend the day on these wonderful pools. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Red chilli camp (FB) Day 5: After breakfast, drive to the top of the falls and later continue to Entebbe and over night at Boma Guest house. F/B
