UGANDA DISTRICTS

Uganda is divided into 80 districts across 4 administrative regions. Most districts are named after their main commercial and administrative towns. 11 new districts were formed on 1 July 2006.
Each district is further divided into sub-districts, counties, sub-counties, parishes and villages. The top selected administrator in a district is the Chairperson of the Local Council V.
Below are the different districts in 4 different regions of Uganda;
Central; Kalangala, Kampala, Kayunga, Kiboga, Luwero, Masaka, Mityana, Mpigi, Mubende, Mukono, Nakaseke, Nakasongola, Rakai, Sembabule, Wakiso.
Eastern; Amuria, Budaka, Bugiri, Bukwa, Busia, Butaleja, Iganga, Jinja, Kaberamaido, Kaliro, Kamuli, Kapchorwa, Katakwi, Kumi, Manafwa, Mayuge, Mbale, Pallisa, Sironko, Soroti, Tororo.

Northern; Amolatar, Adjumani, Apac, Arua, Gulu, Kaabong, Kitgum, Koboko, Kotido, Lira ,Moroto, Moyo, Nakapiripirit, Nebbi, Pader, Yumbe.

Western; Bundibugyo, Bushenyi, Hoima, Ibanda, Kabale, Kabarole, Kamwenge, Kanungu, Kasese, Kibaale, Kabingo, Kiruhura, Kisoro, Kyenjojo, Masindi, Mbarara, Ntungamo, Rukungiri.

Gorilla Safaris

The endangered mountain gorillas are almost exitinct with only 750 in number shared between Bwindi National Park, Parc de volcanoes National park of Rwanda and Virunga of Congo.A safari to Uganda's remaining mountain gorillas in Bwindi NP is memorable experience that contribute greatly to the survival of these mountain gorillas.More information on the mountain gorillas
